Here comes the rain again

We biked up to the the causeway again to see if the tide was different but we timed it wrong so there wasn't much difference other than the barrier being up. I guess we picked the flood tide this time. By the time we got back it was raining again. No sign of a leak from above, but it may take time for any water to come through the roof so we'll keep checking.

I used the camp wifi to (slowly) update the last two day's blogs, then we emptied, filled and hit the road.

We headed through some little back roads (our Tom-Tom is an idiot sometimes - it thinks country roads can be navigated at 80 kmh just because they are open speed zones) to Bazouges la Perouse. We are now in Brittany, though it's taken a month.

B-la-P is a biscuit-tin village, with a large chateau which we have failed to find, and old stone buildings on narrow winding streets. It is the home of several artists whose work can be seen around the village.

Nasty little Pine Procession caterpillars in one of the trees. They shed hairs that have a toxin that causes rashes at best and anaphylactic shock at worst. Pets suffer too, and the hairs can stay in your clothes for many washes so people often just through them out. We met a Brit at one of our earlier stops who had stayed at a camp plagued with them and the owner hadn't warned anyone. He (the Brit) had welts all over his abdomen. Jeez, even thinking about them makes me itchy.

Nasty little Perry Procession caterpillar. Keep away!

How nice is this? - boulangerie, bar, cobblestones...

Aside from the art, the place has vegetables growing, though the cabbages had taken a hammering from snails. Who gets to eat the produce?

Three coloured balls. What do they mean? Who knows?

Bottles as planters? Why not?

Ah, ain't they pretty? (Note the sunshine.)

Park-up for the night.
