Opening the box...

The moment we have been dreading has arrived.

Poor Reggie, covered in dust and debris...

And inside, spiderwebs...

However, after refilling the coolant Reggie turned over and came alive. There's even some charge in the leisure batteries!

Now we have to remember where everything is and how it all works.

We drove up the road and have parked outside our BnB until the garage opens on Tuesday. (Monday is a public holiday.) He may not have as much to do as we feared - oil and other fluids, flush the radiator, check the tyres...

The eagles have landed

Interminable hours later and we are safe in our BnB. Uurgh.

Meussy-le-Neuf is a small village NE of Paris CDG airport. Apparently there's a boulangerie so we're off to explore.

Glorious sunset on arrival, with a huge horizon here on the plain north of Paris.

For a village Moussy is well served. Intermarche, boulangerie, Saturday covered market, pharmacist and more. I suspect it is a commuter belt village. There is lots of industry around too.

Off we go...

We filled in some time by going to Willowbank. We got to see a kiwi in the nocturnal habitat which we taunted by showing it our flight details. Judi liked the parrots, but she's already seen a cockatoo. Anyway it was a pleasant filler before we jumped on the bus.

Now sitting in the airport awaiting the joys of 2/3 of a day cramming long legs into a short leg space.

A new adventure begins

We left off blogging after running away from France in front of COVID for a couple months. Two years, a pandemic, a house and a dog later we are returning to rescue Reggie from his 'temporary' accommodation outside Paris...

The house and dog are being looked after by pet/house sitters, COVID killed 20 this week but no-one unrelated cares anymore, and work very generous LY granted me extended unpaid leave so everything is sorted for our return.

Except Reggie of course. We are expecting to need to replace 3 batteries, 4 tyres and an unknown amount of wiring/tubing.
