The sound of silence

OMG. What a difference. Reggie is so quiet I may fall asleep at the wheel.

Wheel bearing replaced. Some drama as the part didn't arrive until 5pm, but all is well, and quite a bit cheaper than we expected! It did mean hours killing time in cafes, and shopping for a replacement for our cigarette lighter multi-charger. (Reggie is very slowly falling apart. Things fixed with tape are falling off due to the high temperatures. Our reversing camera has died, LED strips turn on when they want, and so on.)

Camp is in a field in the countryside. Lovely. We were invited to barbecue with fellow traveller Henri, and owner Pierre. Very pleasant, though conversation was by Google translate. Aside from campervan pitches Pierre has around 25 weddings a year in his mediaeval building. His wife's family has lived here for 300 years, but he has travelled the world, including backpacking in NZ. Henri was a chef and a DJ but now seems to be a YouTube content provider.
