France rocks

We'll, that should be French rocks, as we went to see some unusual granite formations.

Then it was a side trip to see a 1902 railway bridge.

The abandoned hotel at the north end originally boasted a nice indoor pool:

More (quiet) driving through hills, wheat, sunflowers, etc, to our first stop that Judi disliked enough to make us move. The final destination is a old village - a bastide, but the ride was enlivened by a tree branch blocking ther road. It had obviously only recently come down and was on top of power lines. Two cars of locals pulled up behind us and dragged it off one side of the road, though I was rather wary of it pulling down the lines.

We explored the village and got back just in time for the thunderstorm to start.
