Telavag and out

It pissed down overnight and by the time we were up most of the camp had cleared. We were thankful we weren't one of the many tent people. It wasn't good news for taking matches...

The weather cleared a bit, and we even saw some sunshine. This is Taelavag, rebuilt in 1949+ after the Germans destroyed it

The local memorial to the men sent to the concentration camps. 31 died therein

I'm not going to bore you with detail - buy the magazine. However, for various reasons the day was disappointing. A key spot was covered in trees and inaccessible so several important shots couldn't be matched, and I missed a few due to under-preparation. To balance that I got some extras for Karel should he be able to source the originals. Finally, the weather packed in again.

We drove back to Bergen so I could get a couple more shots before powering up to Trondheim. The correct school was only a few blocks from the incorrect one, and the other shot I needed was where we had been walking in Bergen, so it was a little frustrating having to go back. Proper preparation prevents piss-poor performance.

We camped on the beach a few kms south, but it was not beach weather. Even so, at least one family was tenting it!

I decided to swim for it. Much cheaper
