We left Chartes rather late (mid-day)and headed south. I don't seem to have taken any photos so it must have been an unremarkable trip.
Our stop was lakeside in the Brenne national park. I thought the dozens of lakes would be natural but it turns out they are largely man-made, originally by monks. Apparently they they are good for fishing, and definitely good for flora and fauna.

| This fishing rod was unusual (to me) as it had no reel. It could be extended by adding sections, and when a fish was hooked it could be brought in by removing the sections. The line ran through the last section and could be let out or pulled in as required. |
