I set the satnav to Bayonne. We could do the whole trip in 15 hours but why would we? Instead we arranged to meet L&S in Chartres for dinner. Half way around the world and we've met twice. (Let's not count the airmiles: suffice to say we've now halved the cost per meeting.)
We'd passed through Chartres on our previous trip which Jude reminds me was a very wet day. In contrast it was very sunny this time. Our park up was on the side of a road with 20+ other motorhomes. The MH next door was driven by a couple who were on the ferry with us, and who later sat down at the restaurant table next to us!
