Fare ye well Scandinavia

Today was our last day in Scandinavia. It has been great, with a variety of sights, fantastic weather, some interesting history, and a lot of miles. Norway had the mountains (poor Reggie), the fjords, the glaciers, tunnels, some big guns and no cakes or spirits. Sweden had American cars, lakes, trees, bikes and still no cakes. Denmark had pastries, and plenty of bunkers. We got surprisingly good weather in all of them, and no major dramas.

I didn't have to go in search of bunkers - this one was at the front gate of our marina

Bye, bye Sweden, and Scandinavia. We exited via ferry from Trelleborg

The ferry was very much a truck ferry. There were perhaps half a dozen cars, two motorhomes (including us) and half a dozen vans, the rest was jammed full of trucks. How they back these monsters up the ramps and then park them without hitting anything I don't know! The ferry had a 'mess' and a 'galley' for the truckers, but we had a cabin for the trip.

Trelleborg

The ferry arrived in Polish Swinoujscie (ex Geman Swinemunde) at 11pm so we were driving in the dark to find somewhere to stay. The German border was only about 20km west so we headed across it. (This area was German until ceded to Poland after WW2.) The first site we tried was full up, the second we couldn't find so we parked in a place that that was only supposed to be a day park. By then it was midnight so who would be checking?
