Crossing the ditch

We spent a surprisingly quiet night in the port carpark. In fact once the night ferry had sailed it was quieter than any of the previous nights we'd had! Then we queued for an hour to get in the ferry before sitting around for another 7.

The sea was way calmer than expected given the poor weather, and the ferry was virtually empty too as noone else is on holiday except a few retirees.

We stopped at Delft. Actually we stopped in Delft as our satnav led us to a demolished bridge, then through a pedestrian zone. We eventually navigated our way out via a retail park and other odd bits of the town before reaching our camp site for the next two nights. I lovely park next door to IKEA. Actually it's a way away and only 15 minutes walk from the centre of Delft.

We had dinner in town but will explore tomorrow.
