While on the Lesser Arapile I couldn't help but wonder what archeology had been done for the battle and perhaps before. These are obviously defensible sites, though there are many to choose from. Anyway, climbing back down I found this:
It's a nail-head and clearly not modern. I like to think its from a Napoleonic cart or even a cannon.
