This morning I saved some lives (well, who knows?). There was a three-way adaptor on the power in the campsite but the casing had broken and there were live wires showing. I moved everyone's plugs off it, flipped the fuse, stuck a warning sign on and reported it to the office. Given that the water also runs through the same stand it seemed ripe for an accident! Whether they'll remove it is something else...
Before the next trip I think I'll make up a dummy electricity stand. Each time we drive into a free park-up we'll sneak the stand up then ostentatiously plug Reggie into it. We should get some curious people checking it out...

We are driving down the Seine toward the D-Day beaches of Normandy, but it's so nice we aren't rushing.
Abbaye St Georges de Bosherville. There was no disestablishment (so no antidisestablishmentarianism either) in France so the abbeys still stand. Well, mostly (see below). This one was beautifully light and airy but with few remaining decorations, and had a huge formal garden out back.
Abbaye De Jumieges. Built in 7th C, this one was abandoned in 1790. That's about revolutionary times I think. It was where Edward the Confessor was educated, and Eddie baby was the dad of William the Conk, or Guillaume as he was known hereabouts.
