The doof doof went all night though we're still not sure where it came from. I reckon it was the nautical sports club. Then cars pulled in from the early hours. All in all it was a surprisingly disrupted night!
The drive today was through the desert where they filmed many Westerns. I am watching one as I write, though I can't be sure it was filmed here. (Charles Bronson, Ursula Andress)
We chose to go over the Sierra rather than through the valley. 1416m with quite a few switchbacks. Still, nothing like the the other possible road that would have been quite interesting in Reggie.
The first section was through a huge marble production area where whole hills are disappearing.
On the other side we passed a solar research site that has a few of those concentrated solar power towers where mirrors reflect light on a central water reservoir to create steam. We'd passed a couple working installations on the other side of Spain. These didn't appear to be currently working. (Get it?)
We also passed a motorcycle racing circuit which I guess explains the Route 66 restaurant somewhat.
No pictures as I was driving.
Our stop has a swimming pool, but it was actually raining today so not as hot as previously. It also has power so we can watch Spanish TV. Shame they dub rather than subtitle.
