Sunflowers, olives, grapes and wheat, for miles and miles and miles. After a frustrating drive out of Seville we did some shopping and headed to Cadiz, via Jerez, the home of sherry.

Our entry to Jerez was through the poor side so less than appealing, not to mention sweltering at 35 deg. However, we sat for a drink as the city came to life again around 6pm. What a difference it makes. From empty shuttered streets to people and shops and noise.

After Jude did a bit of shopping we finally headed to Cadiz. First we stopped at the Marina but it was deemed too noisy. Then we stopped at the beach but it was deemed too noisy. (Shame, as it was spitting distance to a fort.) Then we tried to stop at the castle but couldn't find it so parked up nearby in a place that will also be deemed too noisy, but from which I am not moving.
We are finding that as we get older we are getting increasingly hard of listening.
