Shopping unsuccessfully

Today, as the heading says, was a day for unsuccessful shopping. It was overcast anyway so not a day for doing too much outdoors.

Not much to love about the Cote d'Armor on a day like this. Blah.

And this is the Tomtomfoolery that we sometimes get. Tomtom's French maps leave something to be desired! We've had closed roads, bike paths, dirt tracks, low bridges...

We are trying to track some stuff for the MH - a new kettle, a more comprehensive power consumption meter, a joint for the radiator hose. We ended up with a memory card to lessen the chances of me forgetting to put it in the camera - or rather to have another handy when I did, and some felt dots to stop things rattling. Ah well.

Then we headed to our next stop. Whenever there's a beach here there will be a bunker so it is a bit of a game to try and spot it/them.

This one was a cracker. Despite the warning signs I had to explore.

It's actually a complex of bunkers - two A-T emplacements, this mortar or OP position, a tobruk and what is one or more of ammo, HQ or accommodation bunker.

This side has been eroded by tide and time, which may be why there are warning signs.

Of course there's more to a beach than bunkers (though really, who cares? 😉) There were kids training for some sport or other, and adults doing their aquagym thing.

Not drowning, just striding through water

Love the illusion you get that these are floating above the water
